UCSB Arts & Lectures Announced Its 2023-2024 Season

••• Treasured Estates is having an estate sale in Solvang tomorrow through Saturday, and it looks like a really good one. (I’m obsessing over the painting pictured above and my birthday is in November.) Attendance is limited; reserve a spot to get the details.

••• Local women’s footwear company The Office of Angela Scott is hosting a sample sale on June 24 (9 a.m.-2 p.m. at 921 St. Vincent Avenue). Expect Considered coffee and “a mix of all sizes, however the majority of stock is in size 7 and size 9.”

••• Press release from Casa del Herrero in Montecito: “Supporters of the Casa del Herrero are planning a community-wide estate sale to be held on Saturday, October 7. Donations of fine furniture, tableware, art, fine linens, and home decor are greatly appreciated. Donations can be dropped off on Fridays, through September 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by appointment by calling 805-565-5653.”

••• UCSB Arts & Lectures announced its 2023-2024 season. Some of the highlights include David Sedaris, Jacob Collier, Nickel Creek, Kristin Chenoweth, Midori with Festival Strings Lucerne, Rhiannon Giddens, Audra McDonald, Renée Fleming, Abraham Verghese, Batsheva Dance Company, the Danish String Quartet, Herbie Hancock, and Kronos Quartet.

••• We knew that Wendy Foster’s Angel Montecito boutique would be relocating, and now we know where: the former First American space next to Bree’osh. (First American Title moved across the street.)

••• Singer Daniel Caesar will be at the Santa Barbara Bowl on September 23.

••• Playing now through June 25: the Ensemble Theatre Company‘s production of Seared: “A brilliant, hot-headed chef scores a mention in a food magazine with his signature scallops, and his business partner finally sees profits within reach. The only problem, recreating masterpieces for the masses. Written by Theresa Rebeck, this hilarious and insightful new play asks us to consider where art ends and commerce begins.”
