Shalhoob’s Noleta Outpost Opens Today

••• Shalhoob’s Magnolia, at the old Woody’s space in Magnolia Center, opens today. My understanding is that it will hew closely to the Funk Zone location.

••• And Dart Coffee Co.‘s outpost at the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum opens tomorrow. It soft-opened yesterday, so it might be soft-open today, too. As you can see from the above photo, the terrace will be a popular place to hang out.

••• Noozhawk profiled Full of Life Flatbread in Los Alamos.

••• Saint Bibiana‘s Cindy Black and I had a miscommunication about her plans; the original restaurant on W. Ortega Street will remain open and the forthcoming Funk Zone one will be a second location.

••• A food collaboration worth putting on your calendar: Austin’s Paperboy joins The Lark for brunch on April 27 and 28.

••• And another one: chef Armen Martirosyan of Glendale’s Mini Kabob will be at Na Na Thai in Buellton on May 28.

••• Nick the Greek announced that its outpost at 508 State Street (Haley/Cota) will open April 23.

At last, a Greek restaurant again in Santa Barbara. Am looking forward to friends enjoying a variety of treats. Welcome, Nick and his staff.

Nick the geek in Ventura was ok when it first opened. It has never been crazy busy. I believe the franchise is for sale due to an absentee owner. I walk by this place often and cannot figure out how it stays open. I do believe if it was ran properly it would be a decent little place to get some Greek food. Hopefully the one that opens in SB will have decent ownership.

NOLETA Shaloob’s is a screaming hit on a rainy Sat afternoon. The St. Louis ribs are great.
