The relatively new Haven Barber & Shop on De La Vina, just below W. Mission, has spun off a bike shop next door called the Boom Boom Bike Room. It has the attitude of a skate shop, but with “punk ass bikes” and “vintage sleaze,” as per its Instagram bio. With merch from Digital Sunsets, Canto, and others, the shop hits the spot when you hanker for a bit of East Village grit and/or some color therapy. And even though I’m wide of the target demo, the staffer couldn’t have been friendlier. P.S. If I didn’t think my husband would murder me, I would’ve bought a “Beat It, Yuppie!” sticker for my car….
