••• The former youth hostel building at 134 Chapala Street (across the tracks from the train station) finally sold, and not to the city for housing the homeless. The buyer’s agent, Dan Encell, says the plan is to turn it into a “fun, hip youth hostel.” The closing price was $3.75 million.
