••• On the agenda of the February 11 meeting of the city’s Planning Commission: Cottage Hospital is proposing to build a “two-story, approximately 27,317-net-square-foot Pediatric Medical Office building with a two-level approximately 45,886 square foot subterranean parking garage” where four buildings currently stand: 2403 and 2407 Bath Street, and 310 and 314 E. Junipero Street. “All existing buildings [pictured above and below] and site development would be demolished. Three oak trees are proposed to remain and be incorporated into the new landscape plan. The project received City Council designation as a Community Benefit Project on October 13, 2020.”
••• A ribbon cutting for the San Ysidro Creek Bridge—which connects San Ysidro Ranch and the San Ysidro trailhead—is scheduled for the afternoon of February 11, so you can assume the bridge will open thereafter (if not earlier).
