I’d like to hear directly from our elected officials what they are planning on doing to stop the project behind the Mission. I am very pro-development downtown and in our commercial corridors. This project is disgusting and cannot be allowed to be built in its current incarnation. It’s so bad it almost seems like a joke. Shame on our government for failing to ratify our housing plan in time, leaving us subject to BS like this.
8 stories? Behind the mission or anywhere in SB is absolutely wrong. Seriouslly? Let’s hope there is lots of money that comes out to fight this. Disgusting!
You are exactly correct: Shame on our elected officials and their failure to comply with state housing law. There is nothing new about the requirements in the law and the timing involved. The Builder’s Remedy only kicks in as a way of compelling a municipality to comply with the law. Let’s hope our environmental laws (CEQA) gut that ridiculous tower.
