••• Etty’s Jewish Deli & Bakery has opened inside the Jewish Federation of Greater Santa Barbara (524 Chapala Street), reports Noozhawk. From the website: “Due to permitting and security protocols, you will need to become a member and make reservations before visiting the deli. There is no cost for membership.” I can’t even remember the last time I had a knish….

••• A pop-up called the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy will be in the Funk Zone next month: “Attendees will enter the fully set-designed space [on N. Calle Cesar Chavez] and step into a macabre world where costumed actors/mixologists will present four of Poe’s most beloved stories/poems [….] Each of the stories is paired with a thematic cocktail.” —Independent

I hate to be that guy, but N. Calle Caesar Chaves is a good three blocks or more from the Funk Zone.
