••• In March, Moving Miss Daisy’s Consignment & Auction House is opening a 16,000-square-foot showroom in the former Sears building at La Cumbre Plaza: “We will carry home furnishings in every style, antiques, art, carpets and rugs, decor, fashions, household items, lighting, memorabilia, patio furniture, porcelain and pottery, tabletop, exercise equipment, musical instruments and a whole lot more!” I’d assume it’s a short-term lease (but still nice to see the building put to use).
••• Lisa posted a couple of sneak peeks of Aloha Fun, the roller rink coming to the old Macy’s at Paseo Nuevo. The rink looks pretty fabulous; the fake rock is for the laser tag. (Update 1/16: The text was changed to reflect Lisa’s comment.)

••• I hear that the former Magic Castle Cabaret space at 30 Los Patos Way—where construction is underway—might reopen as a magic club. What are the odds? Maybe the space is specially outfitted in ways (trick floors?) that make it unlikely to ever be anything else….
••• Hueneme Supply Co. (“serving the marine and industrial community”) has rented the former Tent Merchant compound at Haley and Santa Barbara. A worthy addition, I’m sure, but that’s one of those lots I was hoping might become the site of a residential development.
••• From the most recent Highway 101 construction update:
—Southbound off-ramp at Sheffield Drive anticipated reopening Jan. 18.
—Northbound on-ramp at Sheffield Drive, closing Jan, 11 for up to six months, anticipated reopening mid-June 2022.
••• MarBorg’s recycling centers have reopened.
••• Major price cut at 2150 Ortega Ranch Lane: It came on the market in October for $16.85 million, and now it’s $12.95 million.
••• The historic Ravenscroft estate in Montecito (777 Ayala Lane) is once again available to rent, this time for $95,000 per month. If you’ve never admired the photos, the listing has a bunch. Love the indoor/outdoor room below, and who can resist a secret passage?

Hi! Thanks for the mention! Just to be clear I have no official affiliation with aloha, just privileged to get a behind the scenes peek. Yes, the volcano is part of laser tag. Between that, mini golf, and the arcade- my kids may never leave ?
