Off-market sale of a knoll-top compound on five acres behind Eucalyptus Hill. In March 2021, 605 and 607 Cowles were put on the market for $27.9 million; the price got cut to $23.5 million a month later, and it sold for $19.999 million in May 2021. A few months later, the word on the street was that the new owner would be tearing the half-built estate down and starting over; and the following summer, he/she picked up the adjacent property at 621 Cowles. But there must have been a change of heart, for the trio of lots—with a “partial built” estate—has just sold for $27 million.
