I get asked fairly often whether Delta Air Lines—the best legacy carrier, in my opinion—is ever coming back to Santa Barbara Airport. Finally, the answer is yes—eventually. Here’s the press release:
Starting June 7, 2024, Delta will provide daily nonstop services to Atlanta once a day and Salt Lake City twice a day. An A220-300 will serve these routes, with a capacity of 130 passengers with 12 First Class seats, 30 Delta Comfort+ seats, and 88 Main Cabin seats. Advance booking is available starting tomorrow, Saturday, September 16, on Delta.com.
Delta previously served SBA with daily direct service to SLC from August 2019 to July 2020. Since the unforeseen end of service due to the complications brought by the Covid-19 Pandemic, the Santa Barbara community has requested the return of SLC service by Delta above all others. […]
Here are the schedules:
• Santa Barbara to Salt Lake City: 6 a.m. (arriving 8:55 a.m.) and 1:20 p.m. (arriving 4:15 p.m.).
• Salt Lake City to Santa Barbara: 11:15 a.m. (arriving 12:18 p.m.) and 10:45 p.m. (arriving 11:51 p.m., which is likely to worry residents already upset about noise).
• Santa Barbara to Atlanta: 7:25 a.m. (arriving 2:55 p.m.).
• Atlanta to Santa Barbara: 7:23 p.m. (arriving 8:55 p.m.).

Fantastic news for skiers and boarders. Leave SB at dawn and be on the slopes by noon! Delta had this flight for many years. Glad to see it back in rotation. Park City used to offer free 1/2day lift passes on your day of arrival, if you flew in that morning. I wonder if they still do?
It always amazes me when people complain about the SB airport noise. It’s been here since the 30s/40s and somehow the people who move within the flight path complain as if though they didn’t know about it or didn’t expect it. I highly doubt all the people traveling in and out of the SB airport have it out for the homeowners in the area and want louder planes landing and taking off with more frequency.
