••• Open Air Bicycles is moving from 1303 State Street to the former 805 Hazy & Deli space at Carrillo Street and Santa Barbara Street. It’s shooting for May.
••• From the Los Padres Forest Association: “Most of the frontcountry trails across the Los Padres are now open. […] Most of the campgrounds (car camps) remain closed across the forest. This is largely due to the fact that many of the major roads that lead into the forest and to these campgrounds are still closed. This includes Highway 33, Highway 1, and most of the non-paved forest roads. […] Some of the roads can be biked/hiked but in some cases we’re going to have to get creative connecting trails from where can now park to where the usual trailhead might be. Call the Forest Service with questions or we’re happy to help, too.” That was before today’s storm, and the one that’s apparently coming next week….
••• Parker Clay‘s warehouse sale, a reliable bonanza for leather goods, is this Saturday: “All items are up to 70% off. A few friends will also be joining us—Back Beat Co., Charlotte Stone, and Considered Coffee Co.”
••• Two more Santa Barbara Bowl shows: comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias on July 8 and jam band Goose on September 29.
••• Highway 101 construction update: the northbound onramp at San Ysidro Road will close “beginning March 20 until early 2025 (for roundabout and highway work).” In better news, “the southbound on-ramp at Olive Mill Road reopened March 7, and the southbound off-ramp at N. Padaro Lane reopened March 9.”
••• I added the current-day photos to the recent post showcasing old buildings from the Geldhill Library collection at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. There was a tricky one: the two photos below are both 1401 Chapala Street.

Open Air Bicycles used to be down by the train station, so I don’t see there moving from State Street as rats fleeing a sinking ship.
