••• As mentioned in last month’s roundup of forthcoming restaurants, a stall called Three Monkeys is coming to the Santa Barbara Public Market. The branding is up, so I reached out to see what kind of food to expect: “Thai street food bbq. We will be doing a lot of skewers also known as ping in Thai—moo ping, etc. And other items, too.”
••• The new owner of the Stella Mare’s building on Los Patos Way has decided not to renew the restaurant’s lease, which is up at year end. “We have been in business for 28 years and we’re absolutely not planning on closing anytime soon,” said co-owner Philippe Rousseau. “This comes as a shock to us and we are devastated with the outcome. At this point, we are considering all options including relocating to a new home.” —Restaurant Guy
••• Edible Santa Barbara says that Mariscos Santa Barbara in Old Town Goleta has gone out of business and that Los Altos on Milpas might be taking over the space.

••• The Independent profiled Anchor Rose: “The downstairs […] is in the process of renovation, with a hoped-for opening in time for St. Patrick’s Day. The goal is to build it out like the interior of a mega-yacht, with lots of teak and bespoke white leather booths—with a Spanish tapas style menu. The patio is also being redone with more fire pits and comfy couches.”
••• Vegan meal-delivery company Simple Feast has left 410 E. Haley (and evidently went bankrupt last year).
