The folks at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum—and in particular, education and visitor experience manager Emily Alessio—went through the Gledhill Library collection to find old photos of Santa Barbara so we can play a game: can you identify which buildings these are? (Part 1 is here, and part 2 is here.) The dates the photos were taken is unknown, but all come from the 20th century. Once a building is identified, I’ll add corresponding current-day photos. P.S. I blurred out any street and business signage that gives too much away.

#2) 409 State Street
Pretty sure #5 is what’s now Pascucci, on the 500 block of State.
#4 White ‘s pet hospital – 532 E Haley St?
#7 Chapala Market
#7 is definitely Unity Shoppe. This building was originally the Arlington Hotel garage. I worked in the building when Magellan’s Travel owned and operated it. It was also a Jaguar car dealership at one time.
#3: building at corner of state and carrillo.
I think the shop at the corner now is called brandy melville
