Sign a Petition to Get the Central Coast Its Own ICU Standard

••• Coming soon to the Montecito Country Mart: Cynthia Benjamin, which seems to be the West Coast arm of New York’s Selima Optique, and was maybe originally called Selima et Benjamin. (as at the Brentwood Country Mart).

••• Here’s a petition to get the state to “request that the Governor evaluate the Central Coast (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties) as a ‘sub-region’ in determining whether our local ICU capacity justifies removing our communities from our currently assigned Southern California Region in the Regional Stay-at-Home Order. I urge the Governor to allow the Central Coast to exit the Regional Stay at Home Order when our three counties combined ICU capacity exceeds the 15% standard.”

••• From architect Jeff Shelton: “Jeff’s tile pattens are now available in textile form at Spoonflower in a gorgeous array of colors and fabrics, as well as print-to-order bedding and home goods.”

••• Thanks to R. for pointing out the existence of Demo2Design, which accepts “high-quality reused and vintage materials” for resale. The door I was looking to get rid of is a bit too utilitarian to fit the bill, but I’m style happy to know about the company.

••• The Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara has a pop-up gift shop at Paseo Nuevo, across from Gap Kids. It’s open Thursday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

••• The Montecito Fire Department will hold “a Debris Flow Risk Map Virtual Community Meeting on Thursday, December 17, at 5:30 p.m. […] to provide Winter Preparedness information and to publicly release the updated Interactive Debris Flow Storm Impact Consideration Risk Map. […] The Storm Impact Consideration Map will be utilized by local emergency managers to determine what portions of the community will be evacuated if necessary this winter. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Interactive Storm Impact Consideration Map will be available at readysbc.org/maps.”
