••• The other day, I peeked through a hole in the paper covering the windows of the former Ca’Dario Pizzeria space at 29 E. Victoria Street. Construction is underway inside, so I asked Ca’Dario if it was planning something new there. The answer was no, but that Ramon Velazquez from Corazón Cocina and The Project is. Alas, no one from either of those restaurants responded to my phone calls and emails. The location is just close enough to the Public Market—not even two blocks—that one has to wonder whether Corazón is moving.

••• Those of us hoping the Bagel Boiz will one day introduce a cinnamon raisin bagel should take note that there’s a new sweet-and-salty special starting this week: bacon bagels with maple syrup schmears. They start taking orders via Instagram DM Wednesday at 6 p.m., and they sell out fast.
••• Little Dom’s Seafood in Carpinteria is now opening for breakfast and lunch.
••• “Persona Pizzeria has recently been purchased and plans to reopen towards the end of this month” at 905 State Street (Carrillo/Canon Perdido). —Restaurant Guy
••• Downtown Santa Barbara says that Yona Redz is opening at 532 State Street (Cota/Haley), with a ribbon-cutting this Sunday at 3 p.m. Yona Redz makes birria de res and quesotacos, and it was operating out of the Dawn Patrol space while that restaurant was on hiatus. As for 532 State Street, Gioia Restaurant and Wine Lounge was said to be opening there.
••• But the Treehouse Restaurant at the Best Western Plus Pepper Tree Inn on upper State Street will not be reopening. —Restaurant Guy
