Midcentury Showpiece Ready for Its Next Act

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with all the real estate news lately, well, join the club. But the noteworthy listings keep coming….

The 1958 Lutah Maria Riggs at 495 Valley Club Road ($7.5 million) is clearly a project—it hasn’t changed hands in 50 years, and there are no interior photos—but you could end up with something truly exquisite. The lot is four acres.

Lots of cool vibes and views at 428 Toro Canyon Road ($3.25 million). The demerits: only two bedrooms, likely noise from Route 192 and Toro Canyon Road, and minimal usable land.

················

12 Augusta Lane ($1.899 million) is a sweet little 1962 house on Eucalyptus Hill. At 1,892 square feet, it’s not for everyone, and surfaces could use updating.

················

No surprise that 215 Palisades Drive ($1.999 million) went pending immediately: houses on the Mesa are rarely this turnkey.

················

953 W. Carrillo Street ($1.395 million) is a funky Craftsman “designed in 1932 by Audrey P. Richardson, of Los Angeles, as a country chalet.” The location and condition might make it a tough sell, but the details are charming.

················

And a few others worth checking out:
••• 241 E. Mountain Drive ($2.425 million, above): Three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths in 1,800 square feet.
••• 4131 Marina Drive ($3.075 million): Bought four months ago for $2.572 million, with no explanation why it’s worth half a buck more.
••• 475 Barker Pass Road ($3.995 million): Big but viewless with dated interiors and an ambitious price.
••• 1904 San Pascual Street ($1.4 million, below): fourplex near the train tracks and freeway that you’re probably not going to buy, but the facade is a fun reminder of what much of this town must have looked like.
