••• From the county: “The state-operated testing site currently located at the Earl Warren Showgrounds is moving to the Goleta Valley Community Center. The last day of testing services at Earl Warren Showgrounds will be August 31. Testing services will begin on September 3 at the Goleta Valley Community Center. Testing appointments can now be made for the Goleta site online or by calling 888-634-1123.”
••• Kelsea Berghart has made patches to benefit Los Padres ForestWatch and Los Padres Forest Association and their fight to save Pine Mountain: “Pine Mountain in Ojai is under attack by the Forest Service. They are threatening to log the forest and ultimately destroy it. You can find more information at lpfw.org. It is a very special place to me and I want to do all I can help. I currently have the patches available on my Etsy and will also be taking orders by DM/Venmo. They are $10 each.”
••• This week from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Caltrans is installing curve warning signs on Route 192 from Morada Lane to Route 150. “Construction will include one-way reversing traffic control with delays not to exceed 10 minutes.” The schedule:
Sunday, August 30: Parma Road to Cold Springs Road.
Monday, August 31: Cold Springs Road to Moore Road.
Tuesday, September 1: Moore Road to Ladera Lane.
Wednesday, September 2: Ladera Lane to Toro Canyon/Foothill Road.
Thursday, September 3: Toro Canyon/Foothill Road to Lillingston Canyon Road.
